OZARK MOUNTAIN DAREDEVILS

US Baseball has announced its first concert in the newly renovated U.S. Baseball Park, 4400 N. 19th Street, just off Highway 65 and W. State Hwy. J in Ozark.

The first Party in the Park will feature the legendary Ozark Mountain Daredevils (with special guests Luna Jamboree, plus Makenna and Brock) on Friday night, June 17, 2016.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and the show will start at 7 p.m., with the evening capped by a fireworks display.

All tickets in the stadium bowl will be $24.50 per reserved seat, which includes parking for the show.

A limited quantity of 500 VIP tickets will be available for $49.50, an option that includes preferred parking, a reserved seat on the field in front of the stage and access to an exclusive concession area/beer garden on the field.

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6, by calling (855) 755-SEAT.

This concert is the first of many anticipated outdoor shows to be hosted by U.S. Baseball Park. Beginning June 1, 2016, the Show-Me Collegiate Baseball Summer League, featuring college students from across the country, will have the park as its venue.

History of the park and the wheelings and dealings allegedly to bring in sales tax revenue along with baseball

The area was formerly known as Price Cutter Park. In it the Ozark Mountain Ducks stadium used prior to 2004 by the Springfield Ozark Ducks Frontier League franchise sat unused for about a decade. Then, according to "CCHeadliner.com" in the late summer of 2015 businessmen named Jeff Williams of Tuttle, Oklahoma and Joel Benenson of New York City bought the stadium and the company OMS, LLC from Chicago businessman Hom Chen, and then entered into a deal with the city of Ozark, the landowners. Benenson and Tuttle are donating the stadium and all of its improvements to the city and entering into a 15-year triple net lease with them, that makes the stadium available to OMS, LLC for $1 per year for the first five years and $60,000 annually for the next 10. The company remains responsible for the complete maintenance and operation of the venue. Renovations include astro turf, a new clubhouse, concession stand, press box and interactive digital scoreboard.
