Eureka Springs artists plan fall studio tour studio8
Updated: 2009-09-09 16:00:49
Eureka Springs, AR - Several artists in Eureka Springs invite you into their private studios for the 4th Annual Studio Tour, September 25-27, 2009. This free 3-day event is timed for participants to enjoy the beautiful Ozarks just as the fall begins to call in cooler days and beckons the turning of the autumn colors. Hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sixteen private studios plus the Eureka Springs School of the Arts will offer a special 'behind the scenes' experience with 21 working working fine artists and fine craft persons demonstrating a wide variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, pottery, weaving and fiber arts, hand crafted musical and tuned instruments, jewelry and assemblage art.

A map guidebook and signs posted along the route will assist in the self-guided tour. Step back in time, savor the creative artistry of the historic architecture of this quiet Victorian village, enjoy fine dining experiences of chef-owned restaurants, and meet the people who call Eureka Springs home.

Each studio will provide unique insights into the creative process and offer a selection of exquisite art and handcrafted gifts.

Information on participating artists, studio locations, lodging and restaurant sponsors, schedule of special events and more is available here.
