Nancy Good is vice chair of small business council

JOPLIN The National Federation of Independent Business, Missouris leading small-business association, has selected Nancy Good of Joplin to serve as vice chair of the NFIB/Missouri Leadership Council.

As a member of NFIB/Missouri Leadership Council, Good, who is with Joplin's Title Place, will assist in the development of the association's statewide agenda and build strategies to support small business throughout the state. Leadership Council members are nominated by either NFIB's state director or current members and elected by the council.

"Nancy has always been a leader in the Joplin community, and now she'll have the opportunity to be a voice for small-business owners throughout the state," Brad Jones, state director of NFIB/Missouri said. "NFIB/Missouri is lucky to have her as our vice chair."

A new "Chamber Chat" hosted by Kirstie Smith from the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce will air on KGCS-TV at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31 and Thursday Feb. 2 and at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1. It will feature Kevin Wynne of the U.S. Small Business Administration who will discuss the upcoming deadline for loans following the May 22, 2011 tornado.
