Cuban art displayed mariwinn

Showing a painting that he bought in Havana, Cuba is John Couper, Communications professor at Pittsburg State University. Most of the artwork for sale to tourists is government sponsored and mass-produced. However, they may purchase high dollar art at several galleries, including the two-level gallery at the Casa de Carmen Montilla which features an open-air sculpture garden and a 3-D art mural by Alfredo Sosabravo.

A large collection of paintings from Cuban artists from the eighteenth to the twentieth century is on display at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Habana Vieja. Several other mueums house art confiscated from homes owned by Batista supporters.
