Blunt's attempt to justify oil exploration in U.S

Many residents in the Joplin area may have gotten a pre-recorded phone call from Congressman Roy Blunt fishing for information about whether they would support increased exploration and drilling for oil, gas and other natural resources in the U.S. These activities have been strongly opposed by environmental groups concerned over their negative effect on wildlife and other living things.
Blunt's constituent survey first ponders the question, "Are you upset about high gas prices?" and infers that exploration and drilling would be an easy way to put more money in his constituent's pockets.
We believe it would put more money in somebody's pockets, not necessarily those of his constituents.
